Civil War Train Raids weekend – June 24 & 25, 2017
The battle for Hesston Junction

Your train transporting the Union Army gold will be raided with a spectacular gun fight. Cannons, horses, and soldiers all joining in the fight while you are caught in the crossfire.

The railroad was very important in the days of the Civil War and whichever side controlled it had a major advantage. It was also the first war to use trains as strategic equipment.

Take your family on three different steam powered railroads. Small, medium and BIG!  Find the full list of operating days here on the calendar. While not in operation, all of our other exhibits are still on display. They are some of the most iconic machines in history. This is a great time to get up close to these iron giants of the past, all maintained by volunteers.
